(Almost) Ides of March 40K Tournament at Sci-Fi City
Saturday, March 14th
Lists due by 11 a.m. - dice hit the table at noon
$10 entry
1250 pts.
Three rounds - 2 hours each
1st, 2nd, and 3rd determined by Battle Points alone.
(Sportsmanship and then Paint scores used to break ties.)
There will be special rules and surprises!
This (and most future mid-month tourneys at Sci-Fi) are designed for new players and those who want to try out new armies - thus the smaller points cost and de-emphasizing of paint scores.
Veteran players are welcome, but be warned: this is not a Rogue Trader Tournament. Prizes are not going to be quite as big, and the special rules and surprises may not be "balanced". Poor sportsmanship and intolerance of new players will not be tolerated.
If you're looking for a fun, smaller tournament experience - veteran or newbie - then come check out the (Almost) Ides of March Tournament at Sci-Fi City.

The Junius VII 40K Narrative Campaign
The Junius VII 40K Narrative Campaign has officially begun! War has come to the world of Junius VII, and mighty armies from numerous factions all vie for supremacy over the hidden treasures of this world. Who will emerge victorious?

Brian (Allerka) - Lords of Oblivion
MarkDD - Daemonhunters

Week one begins tonight, and will end Sunday evening, with updates and points being posted by Monday morning.
And here's tonight's opening mini-story:
"War has come to the world of Junius VII. Led by the foul magics of Chaos, a massive army of Word Bearers and Death Guard have descended upon the planet in search of ancient artifacts and other mysterious goals. Like carrion drawn to battle, the daemons of the warp have also joined in the battle. The Junius VII PDF, led by the Junius 84th, have put up a valiant defense, but it is only a matter of time before they are overwhelmed.
Whether by coincidence or a grander scheme, the Orks of WAAAGH!!! Graz'akz have also arrived in the system, and have crashed their hulks upon the surface, looking for a good fight.
But all hope is not lost. Salvation for Junius VII has come, in the form of a combined force of the Lords of Oblivion Space Marines, as well as a large force of Grey Knights. Additionally, the Eldar of Saim-Hann have appeared, seemingly out of nowhere, apparently intent upon the destruction of the forces of Chaos, but their true goals are as alien as they are.
Finally, an expedition force from the Farsight Enclave has also appeared in the system. Blown off course by the fickle nature of the warp, they must fight for survival amidst a brutal war."
Secret objectives for this week will be sent out to each faction shortly. Good luck to all involved!
Also, for those participating in the campaign, note that you do NOT need to face another player of the campaign to have your battle recorded, if you're unable to get a fight in against another participant. You can only use this once per month, though, so save it as a last resort.

Rhubarb Games Escalation League starts Jan 22
Okay folks, it is time to start up the league again. I will be making several important changes to the league to help bring it more in line with our RTTs.
I will be using the new scoring method for games in part to reward good play and in part to make sure people actually read the missions that we use for the league.
I will be awarding 5 bonus points for anyone that plays an extra league game so that those that come in later can get in their games. I will also be awarding 2 bonus points a week if your army in your primary game is fully painted (min 3 colors).
January 22nd 500 points Troops and HQ only nothing above armor 12
January 29th 750 points Troops and HQ only nothing above armor 12
February 5th 1000 points Troops, HQ and 1 slot each for Elites, Fast Attack and Heavy Support
February 12th 1250 points Troops, HQ and 2 slots each for Elites, Fast Attack and Heavy Support
February 19th 1500 points full force org chart, assigned missions for top players

Armies of Arcana Campaign
The campaign is still chugging along with the threat of the 2 undead factions frightening the Dwarves and the Graccans enough to postpone hostilities.
Babylon 5 a Call to Arms
Thats right folks B5 has made a comeback at Rhubarb. We just started a new campaign last night and we have 8 people trying to show who is the best admiral.

Warhammer Fantasy
We have our RTT this Saturday the 29th. Starting on Wednesday the 3rd of December we will be running Fantasy every Wednesday in Decemeber. In January we will be starting our escalating campaign.
Warhammer 40,000
Our escalation league will be off this week for Thanksgiving but we will ratchet it back up on the 4th at 1250 points and everything but Fast Attack choices available in the your Force Org. Our next 40k RTT will be on Saturday December 20th. Standings for the escalation are below
